Pakhal Bhaat is a traditional Odia comfort food made with fermented rice soaked in water, lightly seasoned with Aashirvaad Salt, and served with simple sides like badi, alu bharta, or fried fish
1 cup Cooked rice (preferably leftover from previous meal)
5 cups Water –(as needed to soak rice)
2 tbsp Curd (optional
as required for sourness)
1 nos Green chili slit
as required Ginger ½ tsp grated
11 nos Curry Leaves –
as required Mustard seeds ½ tsp
1 nos Dry red chili
1 tsp Oil or Aashirvaad Ghee
as required Aashirvaad Salt as per taste
as required Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

STEP 1.Take cooked rice in a bowl add enough water to cover it and let it rest for 6–8 hours or overnight for natural sourness
STEP 2.Next day heat oil or ghee in a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves,
STEP 3.dry red chili, ginger and green chili sauté for a minute Pour this tempering into soaked rice
STEP 4.Add curd if using mix well
STEP 5.and season with Aashirvaad Salt Garnish with coriander leaves
