  • 0.33 cup Besan
  • 0.67 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 0.67 tbsp Aashirvaad Chana Dal (roasted and coarsely ground)
  • As required Red chili powder ½ tsp
  • As required Turmeric Powder ¼ tsp
  • As required Aashirvaad Salt as per taste
  • As required Carom seeds ¼ tsp
  • As required Oil For Frying
  • As required Water as needed
  • As required Ingredients for Chana Dal
  • 10.33 cup Aashirvaad Chana Dal (soaked minutes)
  • 0.33 nos Onion medium chopped
  • 0.33 nos Tomato chopped
  • 0.67 nos Green chili slit
  • 0.33 tsp ginger grated
  • As required turmeric ¼ tsp
  • As required Red chili powder ½ tsp
  • As required Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • As required Aashirvaad Salt as per taste
  • As required Mustard seeds ½ tsp
  • 0.33 nos Dry red chili
  • 4.33 nos Curry Leaves –
  • 0.33 tbsp aashirvaad ghee or oil
  • 1 cups Water

Directions: Pataka Or Chana Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix besan, rice flour, coarsely ground Aashirvaad Chana Dal, red chili, turmeric, ajwain and Aashirvaad Salt Add water little by little to form a stiff dough
  • STEP 2.Roll small portions into logs or flat shapes Heat oil and deep fry on medium flame until golden brown and crisp.
  • STEP 3.For dal Pressure cook soaked Aashirvaad Chana Dal with turmeric, Aashirvaad Salt and water till soft .
  • STEP 4.Heat ghee/oil in pan add mustard seeds, dry red chili, curry leaves sauté Add onion, green chili, ginger and tomato cook till soft Add chili powder, coriander powder then mix in cooked dal Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thick but pourable consistency
