STEP 1.In a pressure cooker, add washed rice, dal and all veggies. Add water and salt. Pressure cook for 3whistles. So that it should be mashed well. Usually for 1cup rice 2cups water. Here for 1cup 3cups water.
STEP 2.Once the pressure got down, open the lid and mix well.
STEP 3.In a pan temper with oil, mustard, chilly, Fenugreek seeds, jeera, curry leaves and add tamarind water. Add turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder, sambar powder and boil well till raw smell goes off.
STEP 4.Add this masala to the rice and mix well. It should be little loosu texture. Once it cools down it becomes thick.
STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any pickles or raita.
STEP 6.You can temper with vadagam also and can add to the rice.
