About Spicy Curd Rice (tadka Dahi Chawal) Recipe:

Curd rice is very popular dish in south part of india. It is also known as curd rice, yogurt rice, dahi kaddi, dahi chawal etc. It is prepared with steamed rice mixed with curds and then tampered with urad dal mustard seeds, green chillies, curry leaves, spice powder etc. Curd rice is often cooked in my kitchen and i love it to have with fish/potato/cauliflower fry. In some families eating curd rice is a tradition at the end of lunch or dinner as this improves the digestion. My personal advice is to avoid curd rice when you have cold and cough as it triggers mucus formation and can worsen the cold.
