Gujiyaa is a traditional Bihari sweet. Healthy and tasty.Made with semolina, flour, stuffed with a mixture of sweetened khoya and dried nuts. Gujiyaa is basically a deep fried dumpling but I made it baked.
STEP 1.Mix flour powder, sugar and ghee and apply with cold water. Cover and keep in the fridge for 20 minutes. Then mix saffron and cinnamon powder.
STEP 2.Now make thandai powder. Roast lightly all ingredients except cinnamon powder and saffron. After two hours, put it in a glass jar and refrigerator it. Sherbet can also be made with this thandai powder. To make gujiyaa stuffing fry the semolina in a pan until light brown.
STEP 3.Fry dried coconut powder. Mix khoya with 3 table spoon thandai powder and sugar and take it down. . Stir constantly. Cool it before filling the stuffing. The stuffing mixture will be like dry coarse powder.
STEP 4.Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degree Celsius preheated OTG. The baked gujiyaa is now ready.
STEP 5.Arrange the gujiyaa on a plate , garnish with dried rose petals and pista flakes to serve.
