STEP 1.Into a pressure cooker add 1 cup of soaked and drained horse gram with 1 ½ cup of water.

STEP 1.Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder and a pinch of salt. Cook in the pressure cooker till 3-4 whistles.

STEP 1.Remove the leaf from its stem completely and chop into fine pieces.

STEP 1.Steam the leaves for 15 minutes of time in a double steamer laid with a banana leaf on the surface.

STEP 1.Add in the crushed chilly garlic paste and ½ cup of grated coconut. Saute till the coconut turns pale brown.

STEP 1.Transfer the steamed leaves to the pot and mix well.

STEP 1.Pour in 2 tbsp of water and add a pinch of salt to taste.

STEP 1.Cover and cook for 8 minutes in a medium flame.

STEP 1.Finally add the cooked horse gram and 2 tsp of horse gram stock water.

STEP 1.Cook for another 5 minutes in the pot closed.

STEP 1.Turn off the flame and the healthy dish is ready for serving.
