  • 0.67 cup Ash Gourd, Peeled And Diced
  • 0.17 cup Grated Coconut
  • 0.33 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 0.33 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 0.33 Onion, Chopped
  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 0.67 tablespoon Oil

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel the ash gourd and remove the seeds. Cut it into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add curry leaves and chopped onions.
  • STEP 3.Add the ash gourd pieces, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook until the ash gourd is tender.
  • STEP 4.In a separate pan, dry roast grated coconut until it turns golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add the roasted coconut to the cooked ash gourd and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot as a side dish with rice and curry.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to cook the ash gourd until it is tender but not mushy.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For added flavor, you can also add a pinch of cumin powder and coriander powder.
