STEP 1.-1)in a large mixing bowl add 1 cup of whole wheat flour ( atta) and ½ cup of jowar flour, 1 tsp crushed black pepper and salt to taste. Give it a mix.
STEP 2.-2)adding a little water at a time, knead to make a firm dough. Once all the flour comes together knead it for 3 to 4 minutes and then drizzle 1 tsp oil to make it smooth and non sticky. Knead till the oil mixes with the dough.
STEP 3.-3)divide the dough into small portions and roll into small balls.
STEP 4.-4)dip the ball in flour and roll it out into small circles. Dust with flour if it gets sticky.
STEP 5.-5)place the roti on a preheated pan. When small bubbles show, flip it over and cook it on the other side. Keep turning every few minutes, till it is completely done. Gently press down the edges to ensure that they are not raw. As it cooks it will puff up and that indicates it is cooked. There will be some brown spots on both sides. Remove the roti from the pan. Cook the rest of the rotis the same way.
