Directions : Murungakkai Mor Kuzhambu Recipe

STEP 1.In a pressure cooker add 1 drumstick cut into 1 inch pieces, 3 tbsp water and salt to taste. Pressure cook for 2 whistles and release the pressure immediately.

STEP 1.In the small grinding jar, add ½ cup fresh grated coconut, 1 tsp coriander (dhaniya) seeds, 1 tsp cumin (jeera) seeds, 2 dry red chillies and ½ cup warm water. Grind to a smooth paste.

STEP 1.In a deep pan add 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 dry red chillies and 1 sprig curry leaf torn. Saute till the mustard seeds crackle.

STEP 1.Then add ½ cup beaten curd and ground coconut mixture. Mix well.

STEP 1.Add the boiled drumsticks and salt to taste. Bring to a brisk boil for 3 minutes. Stir well and turn off the heat.

STEP 1.Murungakkai mor kuzhambu is ready. Serve hot with steamed rice.
