STEP 1.Take half a cup of moong dal in a wok, now roast it on a medium flame.

STEP 1.Take a pan and add some oil, add some mustard seeds, a spoon of urad dal, some curry leaves, now temper the chutney with it.
STEP 1.Take a pan and add a spoon of ghee and oil, heat it and add some finely chopped ginger, some cashew nuts, and roast for a while. Now add a teaspoon of cumin seeds, a spoon of black pepper and some green chillies.
STEP 1.Cover the lid and cook for 3 minutes. Now add some curry leaves.
STEP 1. Add this temper in the cooked rice. Mix well.
STEP 1.The pongal is ready. Serve with chutney.
