STEP 1.In a pan heat 2 tbsp ghee. Pour in 2 litre of water and bring to boil.
STEP 2.Add 2 litre of milk and continuously stir the mix.
STEP 3.Boil the mix in a low flame till the entire mix becomes of half quantity.
STEP 4.Add 1 cup of sugar and stir the mix till it gets a light brown shade.
STEP 5.Add boiled ada to the mix. Allow it to boil .
STEP 6.Turn the flame to low heat and add ½ tsp of cardamom powder.
STEP 7.Cook till it gets a medium thick consistency.
STEP 8.Turn off the flame. Garnish the payasam with roasted cashews and raisins.
