An authentic fish curry recipe that originates from Assam and can make your worst days better. Before preparing for the recipe make sure you have a good quality mustard oil as Assamese dishes are made with fresh mustard oil.
STEP 1.1. Take 6 pieces of rohu fish, marinate with some turmeric and salt.
STEP 2.Take a pan, heat it with some oil in it and add rohu fish pieces and fry. Fry from both sides and set aside.
STEP 3.2. Take the same pan and add mustard seeds, green chillies and saute. Then add the potatoes, smash the potatoes if needed.
STEP 4.Cook for 5 minutes . Then add turmeric powder, and keep cooking. Cook till the potatoes make a dough like consistency. Then add the soaked garcinia. Now cook consistently. Keep adding water as needed. Stirring is needed.
STEP 5.3. Make a boil in the mixture. Once boiled add the fish pieces. cover and cook for 2 minutes.
