Directions : Kathal/Jackfruit Curry Recipe

STEP 1.Cut kathal into small pieces

STEP 2.Sprinkle salt onto the cut pieces and keep it for 10 mins.

STEP 3.Prepare a paste of finely chopped onions,tomato, chilli,garlic and ginger

STEP 4.After 10 mins wash kathal with water to remove excess salt.

STEP 5.Now squeeze kathal to remove excess water.

STEP 8.1.heat oil in a pan

STEP 9.2. Now add kathal and fry it on low-medium flame.

STEP 10.3.stir it on intervals to avoid sticking into the pan.

STEP 11.4.fry it until it becomes golden brown.

STEP 12.5.once again,take a pan,add 3-4 tbsp oil,heat it.

STEP 13.6.add bay leaf.

STEP 14.7.then add roughly chopped onion,saute it.

STEP 15.8.now add the prepared paste and mix well

STEP 16.9.add salt as per taste,and mix it thoroughly.

STEP 17.10.cover it for 2-3 mins.

STEP 18.11.now add the masala-coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder,cumin powder,kitchen king masala,salt.

STEP 19.12.add little water and cook it for 2-3 mins.

STEP 20.13.now add fried kathal onto it and mix well.

STEP 21.14now add water as per gravy choice.

STEP 22.15.now cover it for 4-5 mins and cook it on low flame.

STEP 23.16.turn off the gas and then add garam masala and crushed kasuri methi,cover it for 2 mins and serve hot.
