Directions : Ca Phe Sua Nong (Vietnamese Drip Coffee) Recipe

STEP 1.Start by cleaning the vietnamese press place all parts of the coffee press in a bowl and pour hot water over it just enough to cover it. Wipe it dry with a napkin/kitchen towel. This is to make sure that the coffee maker is perfectly clean and we will get the best and purest form out of the coffee.

STEP 2.In a glass, add the sweetened condensed milk, it should be about 3-4 tbsp. Also, depending upon how much you like it.

STEP 3.Add the ground coffee to the base of the coffee press and shake it gently to spread and settle the coffee evenly. Then press the interior press tight (but not too tight about 85% tight) against the coffee grinds.

STEP 4.Place the coffee maker on top of the glass in which you poured condense milk. Add a dash of hot water (about 1 tbsp) and wait for 30 seconds to let the coffee absorb the water and expand. Then fill the coffee press with hot water (don’t fill up the glass). Cover it with the lid and wait for 7-8 mins for it to drip down.

STEP 5.The coffee will drip really slowly. If you consider drinking warm coffee, place the glass in a bowl of warm water. After 7-8 minutes, the coffee stops dripping.

STEP 6.Stir the coffee well with the condensed milk and pour it into another glass filled with crushed rice. You can enjoy it black as well by adding a sweetener of your choice and avoiding condensed milk.
