Directions : Pitha Recipe

STEP 1.1. Soak 2 cups of rice in water for 2-3 hours. Drain all the excess water and spread the rice on a clean cotton cloth.

STEP 2.2. Grind the rice in a mixer by repeating the above process. Strain the rice as well.

STEP 3.Sticky rice flour is ready.

STEP 4.3. Add a little water to jaggery and keep stirring till the jaggery dissolves completely.

STEP 5.4. Add fennel seeds to the flour. Now add the jaggery mixture to the rice flour and form a wet dough. Dough should not be hard, it has to be loose and wet.

STEP 6.5. Make small balls and flatten them into thick rounds.

STEP 7.1 in a pan pour mustard oil, heat it and fry the pitha on medium flame. Fry on both sides equally. keep checking in between. the texture should be crispy from outside.

STEP 8.Ghila pitha are ready.
