Ingredients For Masoor Dal Recipe

• 1.5 cup Red lentils, thoroughly rinsed and drained
• 4 cup Chicken or vegetable broth, see note
• 2 Tomatoes, Diced
• 1 teaspoon Salt
• 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
• 1 teaspoon Yellow mustard seeds
• 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
• 1 Green chilies, chopped
• 1 teaspoon Chopped fresh ginger
• 1 teaspoon Chopped fresh garlic
• 0.5 cup Onion, Finely Chopped
• 0.25 teaspoon Asafoetida
• 2 teaspoon Ground coriander
• 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric
• pinch Pinch kashmiri chili powder or cayenne pepper
• pinch Small pinch of cinnamon
• pinch Small pinch of cloves
• 1 Juice ne lime
• Fresh chopped cilantro for serving
• As required Salt To Taste
