My favorite in dals. Every week or so my mother makes this dal and now i do too. It's a wonderful combination of burnt whole garlic pods with tangy dal.
Ingredients For Lasanache ambat varan (garlic infused tangy dal) Recipe
1 cup toor dal
1 Whole garlic pod
2 teaspoon Red Chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
0.25 teaspoon hing
As required Salt
piece Small jaggery
3 piece Tamarind
0.25 cup grated coconut
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
oil for tempering
water to thin the dal
