Fattoush salad Recipe

Recipe By Better Butter

Fattoush is a traditional middle eastern salad made from toasted or fried pieces of arabic flatbread mixed with greens and vegetables . Fattoush is essentiaaly seasoned with sumac, a tart deep red spice made from dried berries of sumac. This colourful fattoush salad is a healthy weight loss recipe. It has an interesting lemony-garlicky taste. Fattoush is rich in fibre, vitamin a & c, iron and calcium, you may add a little bit of feta or haloumi cheese or anything that you like as long as the sumac flecked vinaigrette is used. If arabic bread or pita bread is not available you may add toasted roti pieces. Fattoush goes very well with grilled platters.
