Directions : Dum Aaloo Recipe

STEP 1.1 peel the potatoes and wash properly. Pierce some potatoes with the help of a knife.

STEP 2.2 heat up a pan with some oil. Add the potatoes and deep fry the potatoes in it for 15 minutes.

STEP 3.3 remove the potatoes from the pan and set aside.

STEP 4.4 take the same pan with some oil. Add some garlic cloves, some red dry chilli, onions and tomatoes. Cook the ingredients for some time.

STEP 5.5 grind the cooked ingredients and make a paste.

STEP 6.1 take another pan, heat up some edible oil, add some bay leaf, cumin seeds, cardamom seeds, black pepper and cinnamon stick.

STEP 7.2 cook the gravy for essential spices. Add some turmeric powder, mango powder, coriander powder, green chillies, cumin powder and salt to taste.

STEP 8.3 now add some water and boil the gravy for some minutes.

STEP 9.4 after about 10 minutes, add the fried potatoes and let it absorb the essence of the gravy for about another 15 minutes on medium flame.

STEP 10.5 garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Hot and spicy.
