Ingredients For Carrot Raita Recipe

• For the raita
• 1 cup Plain greek yogurt, preferably full fat
• 0.5 cup Cold water
• 1 tablespoon Fresh juice from 1 lime
• Fine sea salt or kosher salt
• 0.5 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
• 1 Large carrot, peeled and finely grated
• 2 Small shallots, minced, see note
• 1 teaspoon Peeled, grated fresh ginger
• 1 Serrano, indian, thai, or other small hot green chili, stemmed and finely minced
• For the tadka
• 2 tablespoon Mustard oil or neutral tasting oil, like grapeseed or canola
• 1 teaspoon Black or brown mustard seeds
• 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
• 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder or 3/4 teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
