STEP 1.Wash and peel the potatoes and the cut them into 1/2 or 1 inch thick slices ( width of ribbons will depend on this)
STEP 2. Slice them sideways using a mandolin silcer ( as shown in the video) , to get the ribbons.
STEP 3. Rinse them in some cold water to get rid of the starch and then drain the potatoes.
STEP 4.Add the dry ingredients(except for salt) along with the grated garlic to the potatoes and give a good mix and set this aside for few mins
STEP 5.Heat some oil, and sprinkle the potato ribbons to the hot oil. Keep the flame on medium.
STEP 6.Fry until golden brown ( Keep an eye on them, and make sure it doesn't burn because these brown really quick), for about 5 mins.
STEP 7.Once done, drain the excess oil and toss them with some salt and chilli powder and enjoy
