STEP 1.1. Start by washing your hands finely. Now take a bowl and add a cup of tamarind and a cup of hot water. Soak for 30 minutes.
STEP 2.2. Take another bowl and soak some rice in it.
STEP 3.Bring two cups of water to boil in a pan, add the washed rice in it, cover and cook rice.
STEP 4.Cool the rice for 15 minutes.
STEP 5.Crush the tamarind and take a strainer to extract more.
STEP 6.1. Take a pan add some oil and add a spoon of mustard seeds, 1 tablespoon of urad pulse ,some chana pulse, 4-5 dried chillies. add some curry leaves if you have.
STEP 7.2. Cook until the pulses are golden brown in colour.
STEP 8.4. Now add a cup of cashews and a spoon of ginger. Add a cup of green peas, asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
STEP 9.5. Add the tamarind extract now. cover and cook until its thick.
STEP 10.6. Add the cooked rice and mix well.
STEP 11.7. Add some cilantro and serve hot.
