The famous street food but with a Rajasthani sindhi spice prepared from fried poori and served with dal. Serve with chutney or ketchup, you can also prepare curry dal and serve with it.
STEP 1.Take a cup of split chickpeas, soak it for an hour and wash it off.
STEP 2.Pour the dal in a cooker, use some water to boil. Add some salt, turmeric powder and let it cook till 3 whistles.
STEP 3.Take 1 cup all purpose flour, add some carom seeds, salt, edible oil and add some water to prepare a dough.
STEP 4.Leave it for 10 minutes and set aside.
STEP 5.Now take small portions of the dough and make small balls up to preferred size.
STEP 6.Take a roller and grease it with some oil. Now roll the prepared balls upto a standard size.
STEP 7.Poke the made chapati papad with a fork.
STEP 8.Take some edible oil in a frying pan. Place the papads, one by one in the pan. cook until crispy and golden brown.
STEP 9.Cooking of dal-
STEP 10.Take out the boiled dal in a pan with some hot oil, add some cumin, asafoetida, some green chillies, ginger, dried red chilli, curry leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and cook the dal for 20 minutes.
STEP 11.The plain and simple taste dal is ready to be served with the papads.
