STEP 1.1. Wash and soak 1 bowl white chana overnight.
STEP 2.2. Boil chana with 2-3 amlas in a pressure cooker.
STEP 3.3. Grind 1 onion, 1"piece ginger, 4 tomatoes and 4-6 pods of garlic in a mixer.
STEP 4.4. Heat cooking oil in a wok and add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grinded onion Tomato paste and roast till oil leaves the karahi.
STEP 5.5. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala and chana masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
STEP 6.6. Add boiled chana and adjust the consistency of mixture by adding water.
STEP 7.7. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Switch off the flame.
STEP 8.8. Serve hot garnished with chilli and tomato slices with puri or rice.
