Paneer Kali Mirch is an iconic dish of paneer which is mildly sweet with prominent taste of pepper powder. This is one of the lesser known but very delicious in taste.
8 Pieces ground black pepper (black pepper powder)
0.25 cup Curd
to taste Salt
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
Directions : Paneer Kali Mirch Recipe
STEP 1.Coarsely grind the pepper.
STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan. Add cloves, cardemom, and cinnamon.
STEP 3.Add chopped onion to it and cook till it become translucent.
STEP 4.Once it is done, add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and cashews. Let it get cooked.
STEP 5.Let it get cool down and then grind to a smooth paste.
STEP 6.Whisk curd and keep aside.
STEP 7.In a pan heat ghee. Add tejpatta and shahee jeera. Add onion paste and salt to taste.
Add pepper powder and mix well. Keep stirring often. Once oil or ghee is seperated, Add garam masala, chilli powder and whisked curd. Mix well
Now add paneer cubes, little water and cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame.
Serve with roti of your choice.
