STEP 1.1. Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.
STEP 2.2. Peel, Wash and chop onions lengthwise. Wash and grate tomato and make puree.
STEP 3.3. Heat cooking oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown colour.
STEP 4.4. Now add bay leaf, black pepper seeds, cloves, cinnamom stick and saute for 1 minute.
STEP 5.5. Add tomato puree and cook till oil leaves the sides.
STEP 6.6. Add all dry masale and mix well.
STEP 7.7. Add rice and water and mix well. Now place the lid and cook for 2 whistles and switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
STEP 8.8. Open the lid and serve hot with boondi onion raita and green chutney.
