STEP 1.Wash and soak the urad dal for 6 hours. Blend it with a very little water to make a thick paste.

STEP 1.In a pan take some oil, cumin seeds, ginger, coconut, onions, and curry leaves. Saute all the ingredients for 2-3 min.

STEP 1.Add coriander leaves and add this cooked mixture to the batter and put some salt. Mix it well for 5-6 min and add some rice flour

STEP 1.Take a bowl and wrap it with a damp cheesecloth. Put a small amount of batter on the cloth and make a hole in the center.

STEP 1.Deep fry the vada from both the sides until it turns brown and crispy.
