Ingredients for Medu Vada Recipe

  • 1 cup Urad dal
  • As required Water
  • 1 Onion , finely chopped
  • 2 Green chilies , finely chopped
  • As required Curry leaves
  • As required Oil for deep frying

Directions: Medu Vada Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the urad dal for 1 hours

step 2

  • STEP 2.Grind the urad dal adding water gradually

step 3

  • STEP 3.Grind into a fine batter and refrigerate for 2 hours

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add salt and chopped onion in the batter

step 5

  • STEP 5.Add green chilies and curry leaves

step 6

  • STEP 6.Heat the pan with oil to deep fry

step 7

  • STEP 7.On a banana leaf take small portion of the batter

step 8

  • STEP 8.Make it flat in round and a hole in the center

step 9

  • STEP 9.Gently drop it in the oil

step 10

  • STEP 10.Fry both side until they turns brown

step 11

  • STEP 11.Serve with coconut chutney
