A unique and crisp traditional Rajasthani dessert recipe prepared mainly from maida and sugar syrup. basically, it is a disc-shaped sweet cake with a porous texture and is mainly served by dipping it in sugar syrup or topped with milk rabdi. this classic indian sweet recipe is mainly prepared during a festival like teej or raksha bandhan or during the winter or rainy season of north india.

Directions : Ghewar Recipe

STEP 2.1 in a pan take sugar and water.

STEP 3.2 cook it at high flame till it boils.

STEP 4.3 turn off the flame and add cardamom powder, kewra water, lemon juice and mix well.

STEP 5.4 in a mixer add clarified butter, curd, ice cubes and blend everything together.

STEP 6.5 add ½ cup chilled water to this and blend again.

STEP 7.6 to this add all purpose flour, gram flour and ½ litre water.

STEP 8.7 take this batter and fill it in a bottle. Keep the bottle in the refrigerator for a while.

STEP 9.8 in a cooker add some ghee for frying ghewar.

STEP 10.9 heat the clarified butter for a few minutes.

STEP 11.10 pour the batter in hot ghee till a thick layer is formed.

STEP 12.11 let it cook for a while and then sink it in so it gets cooked from the top too.

STEP 13.12 take it out and keep it for a while. Let the extra ghee get eliminated.

STEP 14.13 keep the ghewar on a plate and pour the prepared sugar syrup on it.

STEP 15.14 garnish with some dry fruits and your ghewar is ready.
