STEP 1.Soak the dal for an hour and dry it out for 15 minutes
STEP 1.Take a cup of ghee and heat it in a pan.
STEP 1.Add the soaked and dried gram dal in it and slow fry.
STEP 1.Cook the dal for 4 minutes until its light golden in colour.
STEP 1.Set the dal aside and let it cool down and then grind it in a mixer.
STEP 1.Take 2 tablespoon milk and add some saffron bits in it. Mix well.
STEP 1.Now add 2 tablespoon ghee into it and keep cooking. Do not let it stick to the pan.
STEP 1.The color of the halwa will change on low flame and slow cooking. Now add some cream and slow cook. Add the saffron milk prepared earlier. And keep adding milk as per use at intervals.
STEP 1.Add one cup sugar and mix nicely. Add chashew nuts and pistachio along with some cardamom seeds.
STEP 1.Let the halwa cook for other 15 minutes and check its consistency for serving.
