Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together flour, water, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt to make a smooth batter.
• STEP 2.Add chopped prawns, shredded cabbage, sliced onions, and chopped spring onions to the batter.
• STEP 3.Heat oil in a deep frying pan or wok.
• STEP 4.Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
• STEP 5.Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
• STEP 6.Serve the Cucur Udang with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce.

Storage and Serving

• Cucur Udang is best served immediately while still hot and crispy.
• Leftover fritters can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
• Reheat the fritters in a toaster oven or oven to regain crispiness before serving.
