Directions : Chinese Garlic Cucumber Salad Recipe

step 1

STEP 1.Place 500 gm cucumber cut into 5 cm by 1 cm chunks. Add salt and mix well. Discard the liquid that cucumber releases. Keep aside for 5 minutes.

STEP 1.In a small bowl add 4 to 6 finely chopped cloves of garlic, ½ tsp chili flakes ( optional), 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 2 tbsp white vinegar, 2 tbsp sesame oil and 2 tbsp sugar. Mix all the ingredients together well.

step 3

STEP 1.Pour this mixture over the cucumbers in the bowl and mix well to ensure that all the pieces of cucumber are coated with the sauce.
