Vietnamese Ca Kho To is sweet and salty caramelized catfish stakes braised with a caramel sauce, stock, chiles, and ginger in a traditional clay pot called t. Ca Kho To dish is one of the tastiest Vietnamese foods.
STEP 1.Pat the fish dry and place it in a very cooking pan or a clay pot. In a very separate little pan on medium heat, add the oil and sprinkle a pair of tbsp sugar over the bottom. Gently swirl the pan, don't stir
STEP 1.When the sugar is liquefied and turns into caramel liquid, add minced garlic and one tbsp minced shallot and fry till perfumed. Quickly pour this mixture over the fish.
STEP 2.In a bowl, dissolve one tbsp sugar in four tbsp fish sauce. Additionally, pour this sauce over the fish. Add pepper. Let the fish marinate for a minimum of half-hour or ideally 1-2 hours

STEP 1.Over high heat, bring the marinated fish to a boil. If the fish turn out the deficient liquid, you will be able to add 1/2 cup of coconut juice or quandry

STEP 1. Often swirl the cooking pan to coat the fish equally with the caramel sauce.
STEP 3.Add ginger strips and hot pepper if you wish spicy, then flip the warmth to low and simmer for twenty minutes.
STEP 4.Gently flip the fish over and still simmer on low heat for an additional twenty minutes till the sauce thickens, the fish becomes firm and has nice caramel color.
STEP 5.Garnish with shredded onion and freshly cracked pepper. Served with hot steamed rice or shrub rice.
