STEP 1.-1)in a small bowl add ½ cup water , 3 tsp deghi mirch powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and make a masala mix.
STEP 2.-2)in a kadai heat 4 tbsp oil and add 3 sticks cinnamon (dalchini), 4 cardamom (elaichi), 2 black cardamom (badi elaichi), 2 bay leaf, 10 peppercorn, 4 cloves (lavang) andsaute for a few seconds.
STEP 3.-3)add 2 onions finely chopped and fry for 7 to 8 minutes till onions change colour and turn light brown.
STEP 4.-4)then add 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste and fry for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat.
STEP 5.-5)add the masala mix and fry on medium heat for 2 more minutes.
STEP 6.-6)at this stage add 750 gm curry cut pieces of chicken and mix well with the masala.
STEP 7.-7)fry on high heat for 5 minutes. Add1 tsp salt and stir together well.
STEP 8.-8)then add ½ tsp mace powder and ¼ tsp nutmeg powder and mix well.
STEP 9.-9)stir and cook (bhuno) the meat for another 7 minutes.
STEP 10.-10)lower the what and add 3 tbsp curd. Mix well and cook on medium heat for 3 minutes.
STEP 11.-11)add 1 ½ cups of water to the pan and mix together.
STEP 12.-12)cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
STEP 13.-13)add cashew paste made from 15 cashew nuts, add ½ tsp garam masala powder mix together well.
