Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.Heat ghee in a pan and roast the lotus seeds until they turn golden brown.
• STEP 2.Grind the roasted lotus seeds into a coarse powder.
• STEP 3.In the same pan, heat milk and add the lotus seed powder. Cook until the mixture thickens.
• STEP 4.Add sugar, cardamom powder, and chopped nuts. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
• STEP 5.Serve the Makhane Ka Halwa warm or chilled, garnished with more nuts.

Cooking Tips

• Make sure to roast the lotus seeds on low heat to avoid burning.
• You can adjust the sweetness of the halwa according to your taste by adding more or less sugar.
• For a richer flavor, you can add a tablespoon of khoya (milk solids) to the halwa.
