Ingredients for Makhane Ki Kheer Recipe

  • 1 cup lotus seeds
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 5 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • As required A few saffron strands
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 tablespoon pistachio slivers

Directions: Makhane Ki Kheer Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat the ghee in a pan, add the lotus seeds and sauté on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes or till they turn crisp.
  • STEP 2.Remove from the flame, and blend
  • STEP 3.Boil the milk in a pan, add the sugar, mix well and keep stirring.
  • STEP 4.Add the crushed lotus seeds, mix well, stirring and scraping the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 5.Add the saffron and nutmeg powder, mix well.
  • STEP 6.Refrigerate the makhane ki kheer for atleast 1 hour and serve chilled garnished with pistachios.
