Ingredients For Khatti Meethi Tindora Sabji Recipe
500 gram Tindora
As required Salt
2 tablespoon Water
1 tablespoon Oil
0.5 teaspoon Mustard seeds
0.5 teaspoon Cumin seeds
sprig Curry leaf few
0.25 teaspoon Asafoetida
0.5 teaspoon Red chilli powder
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Coriander powder
1.5 teaspoon Amchurpowder
1 tablespoon Jaggery
Chopped roasted peanuts A few
Directions : Khatti Meethi Tindora Sabji Recipe
STEP 1.In a pressure cooker put 500 gms tindora (dondakkai/ kovakkai/ tendli) cut into rounds or lengthwise, salt to taste and2 tbsp water. Pressure cook for 2 whistles and release the pressure immediately by holding the cooker under running water.tindora will be cooked but still firm .
STEP 2.In a preheated pan add 1 tbsp oil, ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds. Allow them to crackle and add a few sprigs of curry leaf roughly torn. Add 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
STEP 3.To this add the cooked tindora. Add ½ tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 ½ tsp amchur for sournes (khatti) and 1 tbsp jaggery for sweetness ( meethi). Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
STEP 4.Cover and let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Stirring intermittently.
STEP 5.Turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts.
