• STEP 1.Cut the chicken into pieces and marinate it with some salt and turmeric

• STEP 1.Slice tomatoes, chop onions and soak the dried red chilli in hot water until it gets softened.

• STEP 1.Grind the soaked dried chile,fresh red chile,pepper,garlic,onion and ginger to make a paste.

• STEP 1.Add oil in a large skillet, heat it and add the chicken and fry it until golden brown in color.

• STEP 2.3.take out the chicken from the pan and put it aside.

• STEP 3.4.remove the extra oil from the pan and leave about 1 tbsp of oil.

• STEP 4.5.add the chile paste, cinnamon,star anise,cloves and cardamom seeds until fragrant.

• STEP 1.Now add the fried chicken & water and along with it add the tomatoes,ketchup and sugar.

• STEP 5.8.bring it to a boil and then reduce the flame and cook it for about 15-20 mins.

• STEP 6.9.turn off the flame and serve hot.
