Soto Ayam Recipe

 This is a very quick delicious soup prepared from chicken,spice paste and is served either with rice noodles or rice cakes.Soto ayam.It is served with a boiled egg, fried shallots, celery leaves and herbs, and is hearty enough for a meal.Easy recipe to prepare.

Ingredients for Soto Ayam Recipe

  • 1/2 pack rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 Nos chicken breast
  • stalk A lemongrass
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 can Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Water
  • As required Salt
  • As required Spice Paste
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 4 Nos shallots
  • 3 Nos garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 piece Galangal
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lime juice
  • As required Toppings
  • 2 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 cup sliced cabbages
  • 2 Nos hard boiled eggs
  • stalk A spring onion
  • 2 Nos limes cut into wedges
  • As required Fried shallot crisps

Directions: Soto Ayam Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the rice noodles in warm water to soften it and later drain out the water

step 2

  • STEP 2.Grind all the spice ingredients and make a paste

  • STEP 3.Cut chicken breast into pieces

  • STEP 4.1.add oil in a pan & heat it.

step 6

  • STEP 5.2.add spice paste & saute it.

step 7

  • STEP 6.3.add in the chicken broth, coconut milk, lemongrass,water and bring it to a boil.

step 8

  • STEP 7.4.then add the chicken breast,cover and cook at low flame for 30 mins and add salt as per taste.

  • STEP 8.5.boil rice noodles,bean sprouts, cabbages in a separate pot and transfer it into a bowl.

step 10

  • STEP 9.6.then add toppings of hard boiled eggs,onions and pour the hot chicken broth into the bowl.

step 11

  • STEP 10.7.serve hot with lime wedges and shallot crisps.
