STEP 1.Heat a pan and roast the rice flour in medium flame for 8-10 mins.
Cooking Directions
STEP 1.Take rice flour in a bowl. Add the urad dal powder, 1 tsp black sesame seed, 1 tsp cumin seed, ¼ tsp asafoetida, salt to taste, ¾ tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and 2 tsp butter/ghee. Mix it well.
STEP 2.Gradually add some hot water to prepare the dough. Mix it well and let it rest for a few minutes.
STEP 3.Place the disc (disc with a star shaped hole) into the sevanazhi and grease the inner side of the sevanazhi with oil or butter. Fill the sevanazhi with the dough and close it.
STEP 4.Using the sevanazhi make concentric circles having 4-5 circles on a banana leaf (plate is also fine).
STEP 5.Heat oil in a pan and fry the murukku in batches. Ari murukku is ready to be served.
