Some are invented in the homeland while others were brought to India from other parts of the world and shaped in their present form. These include samosas, jalebis and even gulab jamun. For a rich, fulfilling and balanced meal, Indian cuisine works perfectly well. From spices to pulses and loads of nutritious vegetables and meats, the Indian fare is replete with health benefits. The land of spices provides you with things like turmeric, which is not only beneficial for consuming as part of food, but also has several medicinal properties.
