Tomato dosa is a popular south Indian Breakfast recipe that does not need any fermentation, so it is a unique instant Dosa which is crispy and healthy. The basic ingredients of this dosa are tomatoes, rava, rice flour and wheat flour.
STEP 1.In a mixer grinder add 3 diced tomatoes, 3 dried red chilies and 1 inch of sliced ginger.
STEP 2.Blend the mix to prepare a fine paste. It does not require any water.
STEP 3.Take out the paste in a mixing bowl and add ½ of cup rava, ½ cup of rice flour and ¼ cup of wheat flour.
STEP 4.Add 2 cup of water and mix well to prepare a smooth batter.
STEP 5.Then add 1 chopped onion, 2 tbsp coriander, 1 tsp of cumin, ½ tsp of pepper and 1 tsp salt.
STEP 6.Let the batter rest for 20 minutes.
STEP 7.For the perfect consistency of batter add 1 cup of water and mix well.
STEP 8.In a hot pan pour the batter and spread uniformly to make a perfect circle.
STEP 9.Spread a tsp of oil over the batter. Lower the flame and cook until the dosa turns golden and crisp.
STEP 10.Fold the dosa and serve tomato dosa on a plate with coconut chutney.
