1 cup MeasuringRaw Rice.
0.33000000000000007 cup MeasuringUrad Dal.
1 nos Table Spoon Chana Dal.
as required Salt to taste.
as required Oil to Cook the Mor Appam.
0.5 cup MeasuringCurd.
0.25 nos th Tea Spoon Chill Powder.
as required To Temper.
1 nos Table Spoon Sesame Oil.
0.5 nos Tea Spoon Musterd Seeds.
1 nos Table Spoon Urad Dal.
1 nos Table Spoon Chana Dal.
as required Few Corriander Leaves Finely Chopped.
as required Few Curry Leaves Finely Chopped.
2 nos Green Chillis Finely Chopped.
2 pinches asafoetida.
Directions : South Indian Breakfast Mor Appams. Recipe
STEP 1.In A Bowl Add 1 Measuring Cup of Raw Rice. Add
1/3 Measuring Cup Urad Dal. 1 Table Spoon Chana Dal. Wash all the Ingredients 2-3 times and Soak this for 3Hours.
STEP 2.After 3Hours Drain the Water and Add 1/2 Measuring Cup of Curd. Grind this into a smooth Paste. No need to add Water while grinding, the Curd is enough.
STEP 3.Transfer this into a Vessel and Add Salt as per requirement. Mix Well with hands and allow this to ferment for 3 hours. Fermentation makes it even more Soft.
STEP 4.In a Pan add 1 Table Spoon Sesame oil. Add 1/2 Tea Spoon Musterd Seeds. Add 1 Table Spoon Ured Dal. 1 Table Spoon Chana Dal.
Few finally chopped Coriander Leaves.
Few finally chopped Curry Leaves
2 Green Chilli. Saute till the Dal turns Golden Brown and add 2 Pinch of Asafoetida. Mix well and add this to the Batter.
STEP 5.Add 1/4 Tea Spoon Red Chilli Powder.Mix well and the Consistency should be like a Idli Batter. If it is thick, add thick Butter Milk to adjust the Consistency. Add little oil to the Appe Pans. Cover and cook it for few minutes.
STEP 6.Once one side is cooked, Open and flip this. Cook till the other side also cooks up well. Take out and repeat to Finish. Serve Mor Appams with Coconut Chutney.
