Meethe Samosa/Khoya Samosa Recipe

Recipe By Slurrp

Whether you can it samosa, sanbusaj, sambusak or by any other name, it is the essence of the dish that remains the same. The samosa is a crispy and flaky snack of India which interestingly, does not originate from the Indian land. The dish is made from a crispy exterior of maida and deep-fried with a stuffing of potatoes usually. The samosa reached the Indian sub-continent at a time when the Mughals were ruling us. From the Middle-East and places like Eygpt and Zanzibar, the dish moved to the Delhi Sultanate and got stuffed with meats and vegetables. Today, you have aloo samosa, paneer samosa, peas samosa, gobhi samosa, chicken samosa and what not. The samosa also finds mention in Ain-i-Akbari by Abu Fazl and as well as writings of other travellers. This is a sweet twist to the savoury samosa. Here is an easy and quick way of preparing a sweet samosa with refined flour & mawa to give your taste buds a distinct flavour.
