Directions : Hilsa Masala Fry Recipe

STEP 1.Cut the hilsa into moderate pieces and wash them thoroughly. Remove the unnecessary shells.

STEP 2.Now in a bowl take the pieces of hilsa and add all the spices and herbs

STEP 3.Add 2tbsp of whole wheat flour, 1tbsp green chili paste,1tsp of turmeric, 1 ½ tsp chili powder, 1 ½ tbsp of cashew paste, and salt to taste.

STEP 4.Mix them well and let it set.

STEP 5.Chop the onion.

STEP 6.Take a kadai to pour a good amount of mustard oil and heat it well.

STEP 7.In the oil add the chopped onions and fry them. Once it’s pink in color add the red chilis.

STEP 8.And fry them till the onion turns brown. Now take it out in a tray.

STEP 9.In the same oil at the pieces of masala hilsa and fry them evenly from all sides.

STEP 10.Once it is fried properly, add the hilsa and red chili and give it good stir.

STEP 11.Now mouth-watering hilsa masala fry is ready. Serve it with hot rice and enjoy it.
