Ingredients for Hilsa Masala Fry Recipe

  • As required One hilsa
  • 1 tablespoon green chili paste
  • As required Mustard oil
  • As required Cashew paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1.50 teaspoon red chili powder
  • As required Salt
  • 2 tablespoon wheat flour
  • 1 Onion
  • 5-10 red chili

Directions: Hilsa Masala Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Cut the hilsa into moderate pieces and wash them thoroughly. Remove the unnecessary shells.

  • STEP 2.Now in a bowl take the pieces of hilsa and add all the spices and herbs

  • STEP 3.Add 2tbsp of whole wheat flour, 1tbsp green chili paste,1tsp of turmeric, 1 ½ tsp chili powder, 1 ½ tbsp of cashew paste, and salt to taste.

  • STEP 4.Mix them well and let it set.

  • STEP 5.Chop the onion.

  • STEP 6.Take a kadai to pour a good amount of mustard oil and heat it well.

  • STEP 7.In the oil add the chopped onions and fry them. Once it’s pink in color add the red chilis.

  • STEP 8.And fry them till the onion turns brown. Now take it out in a tray.

  • STEP 9.In the same oil at the pieces of masala hilsa and fry them evenly from all sides.

  • STEP 10.Once it is fried properly, add the hilsa and red chili and give it good stir.

  • STEP 11.Now mouth-watering hilsa masala fry is ready. Serve it with hot rice and enjoy it.
