An instant soft dainty fluffy cakes prepared from wheat flour,eggs and baking powder. Kuih bahulu is Malay-style egg sponge cake made with simple ingredients like eggs, flour, sugar, and a leavening agent. There is no oil used in the recipe, other than to grease the mould. Kuih bahulu is a traditional cake or snack usually baked in brass moulds which usually come in all sorts of sizes and shapes like fishes, flowers and most commonly, sea shells.
