STEP 1.Take a pan and dry roast a cup of peanuts. Keep aside.
STEP 2.Now take a spoon of oil and roast 7-8 dry chillies. Do not overfry.
STEP 3.Then roast a cup of coriander seeds, mustard seeds, sesame seeds and roast for 2-3 minutes till the colour changes. And keep aside.
STEP 4.Soak a bowl of tamarind in a bowl and mix well. Obtain its juice. strain the juice in a bowl.
STEP 5.Grind all the spices that were roasted earlier. Make a powder.
STEP 6.Take a pan and heat a cup of oil. add a spoon of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, toor dal, and fry. add a spoon of salt, curry leaves, and turmeric powder.
STEP 7.Do not over-fry. now add the tamarind juice. and mix well on medium flame. keep stirring. Make a boil. Then add the spice powder and mix well. Let it boil. add half a cup of jaggery and make sure it mixes well.
STEP 8.Let it cook for another 5 minutes on medium flame.
