Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes, then drain the water.
• STEP 2.Grind the rice into a coarse powder using a blender or food processor.
• STEP 3.In a saucepan, heat milk and bring it to a boil.
• STEP 4.Add the ground rice to the boiling milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
• STEP 5.Cook the mixture on low heat until the rice is cooked and the phirni thickens.
• STEP 6.Add sugar and cocoa powder to the phirni and mix well until everything is combined.
• STEP 7.Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
• STEP 8.Pour the phirni into serving bowls or glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
• STEP 9.Garnish with chopped nuts and a sprinkle of cocoa powder before serving.
