1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
2 tablespoon Sesame Seeds

Directions : Chinese Cumin Tofu Skewers Recipe

STEP 1.-1)heat a frying pan and toast 2 tbsp sesame seeds for 1 to 1 ½ minutes.

STEP 2.-2)remove from the frying pan and grind using a mortar and pestle till coarse in texture.

STEP 3.-3)add 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder and salt to taste to the roughly ground sesame seeds.

STEP 4.-4)in a small bowl add 2 tbsp chilli and garlic sauce.

STEP 5.-5)to this add 10 gm finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.

STEP 6.-6)cut the tofu into 3 inches long and 1 cm thick slices.

STEP 7.-7)insert 2 skewers lengthwise into each slice of tofu.

STEP 8.-8)heat 1 ltr of oil in a wok till smoking hot.

STEP 9.-9)place the tofu in the hot oil and fry for 3 minutes till light golden.

STEP 10.-10)take the skewered slices out of the hot oil and brush evenly with chilli garlic sauce on both sides.

STEP 11.-11)then generously sprinkle with the dry spice mix. Ensure that each slice of fried tofu is sprinkled well.

STEP 12.-12)arrange on a platter and serve.
